Top 40 Country Songs – October 2013

(Taste of Country) – Keith Urban has a new song inside the Top 5 of the list of Top 40 country songs for October 2013. It’s the second straight month he’s done that, but he achieved the feat with two different songs. ‘We Were Us,’ Urban’s duet withMiranda Lambert, isn’t No. 1 this month. That honor goes to a song that is indisputably the hottest song in country music — even if it’s not everyone’s favorite song.

Scotty McCreery and Parmalee‘s new songs make big leaps in October, as does Cassadee Pope‘s ‘Wasting All These Tears.’ A number of cuts make their debut on this monthly Top 40 list, including new singles from Florida Georgia Line, Gary Allan and Kellie Pickler.

The list of the Top 40 Country Songs for October 2013 is compiled from Billboard chart data and sales figures, in addition to staff opinion and reader feedback.
